Legend Tuned ECU software for motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and UTVs: options tailored to powersports vehicles, such as speed limiter and reverse limit adjustments, fan switch-on temperature, quickshifter / autoblipper activation and AIS delete for track use. On naturally aspirated motorcycles the aim is smoother throttle response and a realistic power gain, while on turbo UTVs a marked performance increase is targeted; Stage 1 / Stage 2 performance software can also be applied to these vehicles. Before every job, the ECU type and hardware compatibility are checked and the original software is backed up.
-
Software activation and setup of clutchless upshifts (quickshifter) and throttle-blipped downshifts (autoblipper) on suitably equipped motorcycles.
- Seamless upshifts without closing the throttle or pulling the clutch
- Rev-matched, clutchless downshifts with the autoblipper (on ride-by-wire models)
- Cut time and sensor sensitivity adjustable by gear and RPM
- Petrol
- ~1–2 hours (excluding sensor fitting)
-
ECU software for track use that prevents the fault code and warning light on motorcycles with the secondary air system (AIS/PAIR) disabled.
- Eliminates the fault code and warning light caused by the AIS solenoid
- Fewer unwanted backfires on deceleration on motorcycles with full exhaust systems
- More accurate fueling and datalogs, since exhaust readings are no longer diluted
- Petrol
- ~1–2 hours
-
Software that resets the radiator fan's switch-on and switch-off temperatures via the ECU for hot weather, heavy traffic and off-road conditions.
- More stable engine temperature in heavy traffic and hot weather
- Less heat radiating onto the rider’s legs and the engine area
- More thermal headroom for ATVs/UTVs working off-road at low speed and in mud
- Petrol
- ~1 h
-
Software that removes the speed/rev limit applied in reverse on ATVs and UTVs, or raises it to a controlled value, depending on how you use the vehicle.
- Enough power when reversing out of mud, sand or up a slope
- Easier maneuvering when towing a trailer and in work/farm use
- The limit can be removed completely or raised to a controlled value
- Petrol
- ~1 h

Questions about Moto & ATV/UTV
We’ve gathered the most frequently asked questions about the services in this category.
Got an issue specific to your car?Write to us with the make, model and engine, and we’ll tell you what can be done.
Quickshifter / Autoblipper ActivationCan quickshifter software be done on every motorcycle?
No. The ECU must support a quickshifter input and a suitable sensor must be fitted. On some models the function is already in the ECU and only needs activating; on others there is no software support. We check compatibility in advance using the make, model, year and ECU details.
Quickshifter / Autoblipper Activation detailsQuickshifter / Autoblipper ActivationWhat is needed for an autoblipper?
To blip the throttle on downshifts, the motorcycle must have an electronic throttle (ride-by-wire). On motorcycles with a cable-operated throttle, an autoblipper cannot be done through software; on these models only an upshift quickshifter is possible.
Quickshifter / Autoblipper Activation detailsQuickshifter / Autoblipper ActivationDoes a quickshifter damage the gearbox?
A correctly set up quickshifter cuts the load for a very short moment during the shift, allowing the gears to engage smoothly. Problems usually come from an incorrect cut time or a faulty sensor; that’s why we set it up by gear and RPM and verify it on a road test.
Quickshifter / Autoblipper Activation detailsAIS / Secondary Air System DeleteDoes an AIS delete increase power?
You should not expect a significant power gain. The benefits of an AIS delete are running without fault codes, fewer unwanted backfires on deceleration on motorcycles with full exhaust systems, and more accurate exhaust readings. If more power is the goal, it is assessed together with Stage software.
AIS / Secondary Air System Delete detailsAIS / Secondary Air System DeleteWill a motorcycle with AIS deleted pass inspection?
AIS is an emissions system; disabling it increases exhaust emissions and may cause problems at inspection. This service is only for track / motorsport and closed-course use; use on public roads may be against regulations. On request, the original software can be restored, and any removed parts must also be refitted.
AIS / Secondary Air System Delete detailsAIS / Secondary Air System DeleteIf I only fit block-off plates, do I need software?
It depends on the model. If the solenoid stays in place and connected, many motorcycles will not log a fault code; however, if the solenoid is removed or disconnected, most ECUs record a fault. In that case, the relevant check must be disabled in the software.
AIS / Secondary Air System Delete detailsFan Switch-On Temperature AdjustmentMy engine already overheats, will this adjustment fix the problem?
No. Overheating is usually a symptom of a problem such as a clogged radiator, a faulty thermostat, air in the system, a faulty fan or a failing water pump. The fault should be diagnosed and fixed first; the fan adjustment is meant to improve temperature balance and riding comfort in a healthy cooling system.
Fan Switch-On Temperature Adjustment detailsFan Switch-On Temperature AdjustmentIf the fan runs earlier, will the battery or charging system be affected?
Since the fan will run more often and for longer, electrical consumption increases somewhat. With a healthy battery and charging system this causes no problems; however, if high-draw accessories such as extra lighting or heated equipment are fitted, we recommend having the charging system checked too.
Fan Switch-On Temperature Adjustment detailsFan Switch-On Temperature AdjustmentWhich vehicles can it be done on?
It can be done through software on liquid-cooled motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and UTVs whose fan is controlled by the ECU. Air-cooled engines have no radiator fan; on models where the fan is operated by a thermal switch, a switch with a different rating is used instead. We check compatibility based on make, model and year.
Fan Switch-On Temperature Adjustment detailsReverse Speed Limiter RemovalIs it better to remove the limit completely or to raise it?
For most uses, raising it to a controlled value is enough and safer: you get the power needed to back out of mud or up a slope while reducing the risk of excessive speed in reverse. For special use cases the limit can be removed completely; we decide together based on how you use the vehicle.
Reverse Speed Limiter Removal detailsReverse Speed Limiter RemovalWill this damage the transmission or the CVT belt?
Brief use of higher power in reverse causes no problems in a healthy drivetrain. However, on vehicles with a CVT belt, belt slip increases heat; when stuck, holding high RPM for a long time can overheat the belt, so controlled, short throttle inputs are better for belt life.
Reverse Speed Limiter Removal detailsReverse Speed Limiter RemovalWhich ATV/UTV models can it be done on?
It can be done on models where the reverse limit is defined in the ECU software and the ECU can be read and written. Since compatibility depends on the ECU type and software version, we check your vehicle in advance based on make, model, year and ECU details.
